Ranjitha has finally surfaced after her video clipping with the controversial Godman Nithyananda was shown on a private channel.
Ranjitha has issued through her lawyers PM Law Chambers, New Delhi a statement- “Our client strongly objects to being referred to as one of the persons in the video. The said imputation by anyone is causing unnecessary loss of reputation, mental harassment, agony, loss of earnings, which are all actionable wrongs.”
The statement also pointed out that that there was a “huge conspiracy” against the actor and declared that she would fight until the end to stop “criminalisation of journalism”. Her lawyers also made it clear that they would be taking legal action against the perpetrators for defamation and other offences under the IPC, besides provisions of the Information Technology Act, 2000.
Ranjitha’s lawyers also made it clear that all the “interviews” attributed to her which appeared in some Tamil magazines were “totally fabricated”.
